A tremolo bar technique made popular by electric guitarists playing “shred,” or very fast hard rock music. The technique is also called “tremolo bar gargle” or just “gargle.” This technique works best with a floating tremolo and a guitar tone using high gain/overdrive/distortion. Start by rotating the bar away from the neck of the guitar. Play any note, then, beginning at the base of the bar, apply pressure and slide your finger toward the end, and “flick” or “snap” your finger off the end. The bar should pop up, causing a fast fluttering pitch sound.
