Treble Bleed Capacitor

This relatively small and inexpensive capacitor (typically .001 microfarad) is what allows certain guitars to maintain their treble when its volume control is turned down. Conversely, an instrument without this capacitor will generally lose its high end response as the volume knob is backed off. This may or may not be a bad thing, depending upon the sound you’re after.
