Sweepable EQ

An equalizer that allows the frequency setting for a band, or bands, to be varied. Sweepable EQ is often found on mixing consoles. The low and high frequencies are almost always fixed, however the midrange may be set anywhere within a wide frequency range, i.e., 150Hz to 6kHz. Sweepable EQs are adjusted using two controls: One that selects the frequency and another that sets the amount of cut or boost.
