Sweepable Mids

Equalization with sweepable mids (or midrange) is generally regarded as semi-parametric EQ and is a big step up from fixed EQ. It is often found on consoles that are themselves mid range in terms of price. The low and high frequencies are almost always fixed, however the midrange may be set anywhere within a wide frequency range, i.e., 150Hz to 6kHz. Sweepable mids are adjusted using two controls: One that selects the frequency and another that sets the amount of cut or boost.
