Bass players unite! It seems that recently guitarists have had all the fun and new toys. The folks at Line 6 have set out to even the score with the new Bass Pod. Based (no pun intended) on the legendary Pod, the Bass Pod has 16 bass amp models and 16 bass cabinet models, plus it has many other features optimized for the unique needs of bass players. It also comes with Mac and PC software for editing on your computer. Oh, and it sounds great!
Okay, we can’t just let the poor bass players have their day in the sun, can we? For you guitarists you’ll be happy to know that Line 6 has also shipped us their brand new Pod 2 for guitar. The Pod 2 looks and smells like the original Pod, but includes all of the advanced editing that was previously only available through software. Any Pod users who’ve purchased since 2/1/2000 can get a free upgrade from Line 6.

Attention ADAT owners. Our Service department is running a special offer for all owners of ADATs. We will promise same day service on any machine you send in for tune-ups and basic repairs regardless of whether you purchased it from Sweetwater. This means we will ship your repaired and tuned up machine back to you the same day we receive it. If you have a machine with serious problems you can still send it in and we will give you an estimate for repair the same day we receive it. All you studio owners who can’t afford down time, here’s your chance to get those niggly little problems taken care of by the expert staff at Sweetwater (many of you may not remember, but we were the very first music store to be authorized for ADAT service years ago). Just call our service department at our normal 800-222-4700 number and go to extension 6400.
Don’t use ADAT’s? No problem. We’ll also do same day service on DA-88/38/98 machines, most brands of keyboards, DAT machines, CD players/recorders, and a list of gear way too long to print here. Just give us a call at the number above so we can stand ready to take care of your gear.
