Sonnox has announced Oxford Envolution, a new frequency-dependent transient shaper plug-in. Available in native or DSP-driven formats for AAX, VST, and Audio Units on Mac and PC, Envolution allows you to boost or cut transients to add detail, punch, and presence to individual tracks, buses, and full mixes. Tilt mode allows for broader control, while Focus mode allows more parametric-style control over which frequencies are processed. The effect can be soloed, so you can hear precisely what you’re adding to your track or mix. Envolution can be used in parallel for subtle processing without danger of phase cancellation. The plug-in comes with an array of presets to get you started.
