Roland has delivered a very cool edit controller for their VM-C7100 and 7200 digital mixers. The VE-7000 dedicated knobs and controls for EQ, gain, flex bus send level, on/off, pan, and more. Plus it has a joystick for easy surround mixing.
Those of you in and around the Chicago area should mark your calendars for next Tuesday, 11/28. Pro Tools 5.1 is a major step forward from 5.0, and were it not for the handy coincidence of the 5.1 version number it probably would have been called 6.0. We’ve recently received another supply of B-Stock Kurzweil K2000’s (racks only [K2000RVPB, K2000RSB]) and K2500’s (racks [K2500RB, K2500RSB] and keyboards [K2500XB, K2500XSB]). These are being sold at insanely low prices. Of course the price is always nice, but the word B-Stock often (rightly) strikes fear in the minds of people in our buyer-beware climate. At Sweetwater, a B-Stock item has the same or better warranty as brand new items. We fully stand behind these Kurzweil’s and so will they. B-Stock just means they went back to the factory for one reason or another. Maybe they were returned and needed to be reconditioned, maybe some were defective and needed to be repaired or reworked, or maybe some dealer somewhere just didn’t have the money to pay for them (think this doesn’t happen? – think again). Whatever the reason, they’ve had attention at Kurzweil to make sure they are fully functional. Plus we go over each one again with our exclusive 20 point checklist before shipping. The box may be a little worn, and the unit itself may not look completely new (most are very close), but you can bet it’s going to work just like a new one.
