That rumbling you hear isn’t approaching thunder, it’s the arrival of the V-Session Kits from Roland. We can’t say it enough: Roland’s V-Drums are amazing. Trust us, these are worlds beyond those funny rubber octagons that still, for whatever reason, seem to be the image that comes to many musicians’ minds when you say the phrase “electric drum set.” The V-Drums offer incredible realism, range of expression, and versatility. We can’t say enough about them. And now they come in white, red and purple frames.
Voyager Sound has introduced GraphiMix 01, their first in a series of audio mix software products that controls MIDI-compatible hardware such as mix consoles, sequencers, PC sound cards, and effects processors. GraphiMix employs a user-definable on-screen mixing surface with image or text icons to represent individual sound elements. It uses the position or state of the graphic icons to set controls such as gain, pan, and effects. The relative positions of the icons can represent a collection of mixer control settings, and several controls can be changed simultaneously by moving just one icon with a mouse.
