Roland Corporation U.S. is taking over sales and distribution of Edirol Audio/MIDI-interface products. Edirol multimedia products were actually developed by Roland for electronic musicians and audio professionals. The company’s releases include the UA-101, the world’s first 24-bit/96kHz USB 2.0 audio interface and the new “motion dive.tokyo performer” visual performance software package, complete with a dedicated hardware controller, for the performing musician and DJ. The package is actually a collaboration between Digitalstage, creators of the original “motion dive.tokyo,” and Edirol, which adding MIDI functionality and a unique USB-powered hardware controller that mirrors the software interface. Motion dive.tokyo was recently voted “Best VJ Product of 2005” by UK-based DJ Magazine. All Edirol products and peripherals will now be distributed from Roland headquarters in Los Angeles, CA.
