Roger Linn Designs just dropped off a really cool new guitar effects processor. More on that in a second. Right now, there may be a few of you scratching your heads and saying, “Roger Linn? Hmmm. There was a LinnDrum back in the late 70s/early 80s, and a drum machine called Linn9000 back in the day. Is that the Roger Linn you’re talking about?” Yes, it is, the very same Roger Linn that created the first sampled-sound drum machine. He also helped develop the MPC Production centers for Akai. Now, he has Roger Linn Designs and that really cool guitar processor to his list of accomplishments. The processor, the AdrenaLinn, combines a bank of filters, a looping sequencer, a variety of synthesizer-style modulators, a guitar amp modeler and a drum machine. It provides a whole new array of rhythmic effects that play in sync to its internal drum machine or to MIDI. Does that sound cool or what?
