From Cakewalk Technical Support comes the following:
"There is a bug in the version of the CFX Reverb plug-in currently shipping with Cakewalk Pro Audio 6.0. Note that Session 8 and Audiomedia III users are most susceptible to this bug, but it potentially effects all Cakewalk 6.0 installations.
An update fixing this bug is available on Cakewalk’s website. Since the updated CFX Reverb offers better real-time performance, it is recommended that all users install the update. However, users who experience the following problems, should definitely install the update:
- IPF in REVERB.AX (exception code 10h)
- IPF during setup
- Only 4 of the 6 CFX effects get installed (and/or no presets are available)
The new CFX Reverb now requires half as much CPU as before. This performance gain is most noticeable when the reverb is used within a track insert or effects loop.
To install, simply download REVERB.AX (72KB) and copy it into your Cakewalk directory."
