Renaissance Collection 2 from Waves just arrived in its TDM (Mac-only) and Native versions. The Renaissance Collection 2 includes three new plug-ins. Renaissance Vox combines a compressor, limiter and gate to bring vocals or solo instruments to the front of the mix while reducing noise. Renaissance Bass provides bass extension on bass limited speakers. Renaissance DeEsser is the next generation DeEsser offers a unique Adaptive Threshold that provides a more unified DeEssing and more natural sounding results.
BIAS has announced that anyone who purchased PEAK or DECK after October 1st will get a free upgrade to the OSX version when it ships. They are expecting the new version to ship soon.
Cakewalk has announced that the new VSampler DXi soft synth/sampler is now available on the their web site. Developed by SpeedSoft, the VSampler DXi is a multi-format, 24-bit / 96 kHz software sampler and synthesizer that works as a DXi plug-in within SONAR and other DXi-compatible Windows applications. It provides up to 64 stereo voices, supports popular sample formats, and seamlessly integrates directly into SONAR, Home Studio 2002, Plasma, and other DXi host applications.
