Waves NS1 Noise Suppressor Plug-in Reviews

I purchased this Waves NS1 Noise Suppressor to help me because I also have a portable mic booth used for travelling sessions. Since its not completely soundproof, due to its portability, room noise can often be a factor in my vocal recordings. This plugin has helped resolve this issue in such an unexpected way. The best part is its simplicity of use with just one fader. Adjust it as needed depending on the intensity of your noise interference. I had a recent project where I didn't even have my vocal booth available for this session so I relied heavily on this NS1 plugin. Upon recording into my DAW, I was able to adjust the fader to reduce the room noise drastically from my recording. When I played it back I realized that it was getting a second pass of processing through this plugin which lowered the floor noise even further. I was really impressed!!! Clears up background noise like a magic trick. It's just gone with a wave of a cape and without affecting the performance.

It's that easy! Noisy? Slide the slider up, the more noise, the more slide. What comes out the other end is wonderful, natural, transparent audio. This thing does wonders on Live mic channels as well as for Post cleanup, it's just amazing and anyone can figure it out, you just slide it! If you want to save yourself the frustration of building a denoising chain yourself, get this plugin, you won't be disappointed.

Best noise suppressor I have ever used. Totally gets rid of the noise floor without any distortion. LOVE this plugin.

This plug is a must have for the studio. Like the title says, it destroys the noise floor without affecting tone. I never turn the fader up, just running my audio through the algorithm is enough. That said a real noisy recording will still be noisy but it takes the hiss out of my tube gear and makes it more pristine.

Having tried to use gates, EQ and some gosh-awful plugin chains to eliminate unwanted noise with unsatisfactory results I was absolutely blown away with this little jewel. I managed to catch it on sale but it's worth every bit of the list price and then some, Just Dial it in to reduce as much as you want and BINGO! Clean audio! It's an absolute must for me - first plug in my VO audio chain.

It works just like it should. Cuts down on guitar amplifier noise, even does its magic on old analog tape recordings to eliminate tape hiss.

The reviews I read made this sound better than it is. This will remove very minor noise. AC, light bulb hum, etc. Has a hard time with high gain hiss, or anything substantial. You can't push it too hard or else it will affect the sound you DO want. I'm glad I have it, but I will be seeking another noise remover for the heavy lifting.

Fair still working on it , but vocal not bad still on it.
