Real-world Sibelius 7.5 Workflow

Producer/arranger/composer/trombonist John Hinchey (currently on tour as trombonist with Martina McBride) is a seasoned pro when it comes to Avid’s Sibelius notation software – we’ve even had the pleasure of having John do charts for sessions in Sweetwater’s studio and give seminars here on how to use Sibelius. Now John has posted a great article on arranging your workflow in Sibelius 7.5 on Avid Blog Music. In the article, he details how he keeps the focus on the staves he’s working on, how he sketches arrangements, and more, all illustrated with examples from a chart he did for sessions at Abbey Road Studios. As a bonus, those same sessions were engineered by our own Director of Music Production and Artist Relations, Mark Hornsby, for artist Nick D’Virgilio — who now serves as our Sweetwater Studios’ in-house drummer extraordinaire and also as content creator for inSync!
