From Carlos C. comes the following question:
| "My amplifier seems to be picking up noise directly from my ZIP drive. The general question here is: Can computer data cables induce noise on audio gear? Or is the noise being induced by RF interference through the AC adapter of this device?" |
Thanks for the question Carlos; we’ve heard the noise your experiencing many times, usually with SCSI devices like hard drives, or as in your case ZIP drives. From what we’ve seen, this noise is related to the cabling, not the power adapter of your drive. Try moving your cables and devices around to different physical locations. You might also try substituting different cables, as well as taking a look at your grounding situation. A certain amount of trial and error research along these lines should lead to a solution. Good luck!
