Steinberg has announced version 5.5 of Nuendo. The new version includes more than two dozen new features, such as new editing functionality aimed at audio production, a new take comping system, multitrack editing tools, the Hitpoint-to-MIDI audio replacement function, grouped events, editing across multiple lanes, folder track improvements, improved transient detection, and phase-accurate audio quantization. Among the many additional features are the zplane elastique Pro time-stretching/pitch-shifting algorithms, an updated video engine, better offline processing, improved automation editing and trimming, the VST Amp Rack, advanced hitpoint and tempo detection, 64-bit support for the Macintosh version, and much more.
Nuendo 5.5 is a free update for registered users. Installing v5.5 will not automatically uninstall version 5.0 or 5.1.
