TC Works has released the new Version1.5 version of PowerCore, the open DSP hardware platform for any VST or MAS recording application on Mac and now also on PC. Registered PowerCore users can download the new software for free from the TC Works website. Version 1.5 introduces the “PowerCore Instruments” format, allowing for virtual instruments also running on the card. The new version is also much more efficient, allowing more plug-ins to be used with less drain on the host CPU. There are several new plug-ins included, such as Voice Strip, and there’s going to be a monophonic virtual analog synth available for free downloading around the end of the year.
