Visual Sound recently held a shootout in Nashville in front of an audience of professional players, which featured the company’s pedals versus some of the tried-and-true classic and boutique pedals. The audience voted on which pedal they felt sounded the best in several different categories. The results are very interesting! You can see the entire thing on YouTube, broken down into separate videos for each pedal type.
In addition to the shootout aspect of this, it’s a great opportunity to hear a bunch of great-sounding pedals under well-controlled circumstances, something most of don’t have a chance to do.
