Moog has announced the production version of the Moog Guitar, the Model E1. The new model uses the same pickups and electronics as the original award-winning Paul Vo Collector’s Edition, and it comes with either a fixed bridge or a tremolo bridge. It will be offered in Butterscotch, Candy Red, and Black color options. The E1 is a set-neck design, with an alder body, an ebony fretboard, a 22-fret neck, two custom Moog pickups, piezo saddle pickups, a Wilkinson tremolo or fixed bridge, and much more!
At a significantly lower price than the Paul Vo – and given how cool the limited-edition version is – this is great news for anyone who’s anxious to try out the unique tonal and performance opportunities the Moog Guitar offers, but at a price that’s much more affordable.
Look for the new model to arrive in early September 2009.
