Just in is Gibson’s sweet-sounding and very cool looking Dobrolektric, a stunning Dobro based on the solidbody Resophonic model of the 1950’s. This one features a semi-hollow body for that nice tone, with a classic P90 and piezo blended pickup system.
It’s amazing how many people still record to stand alone hardware. We still sell tons of ADATs and other non computer based recording devices. Goes to show how much we prefer simple, effective hardware to fancy bells and whistles. One of the most popular products for us has been the Mackie HDR2496 recording platform. A lot of its appeal is the way in which it acts like a tape recorder when you need a tape recorder, but can also act like a DAW when you need a DAW. It’s very cool.
