One of the coolest features of the Roland VS-2400CD (besides its insanely low price) is its ability to interface with a standard VGA monitor. If you’re like us, you might even have an extra monitor in a closet somewhere if you recently upgraded your computer. For navigating on the monitor, you can use VS-2400CD’s mouse, which is normally used to move around the recorder’s LCD. Here’s how you can toggle back and forth between using the mouse on the VGA monitor and the LCD screen.
- First hold down the SHIFT button (it’s just above and to the right of the data entry wheel).
- Next press the MASTER EDIT button. Now your mouse will appear on your external monitor. Repeat the process and the mouse goes back to the onboard display.
