Like your interface super compact, but need a ton of I/O, great metering, and loads of features?
Then you need the all-new MOTU Track16! This tiny desktop interface offers two mic inputs with individual preamps, two guitar inputs, a stereo “mini” input jack, and two analog line inputs, plus eight channels of ADAT-optical-format input. That’s a total of 16 inputs, with beautiful front panel LED metering.
On the output side, you get four analog outputs, two stereo headphone jacks, and eight ADAT-optical digital outputs. All told, you can access up to 16 simultaneous inputs and 14 simultaneous outputs, all controlled and monitored without latency from the included CueMix software. And, if you need more, chain the Track16 with another MOTU audio interface for additional I/O firepower.
The Track16 can be bus powered via FireWire or use the included power adapter when connected via USB 2.0 — that’s right, this is a hybrid interface supporting both FireWire and USB connectivity to your Mac or PC. The one-touch front-panel knob gives you all the control you need for recording and monitoring, or use the optional TouchOSC app on your iPad to control your Track16 mix. There are even built-in DSP-driven effects such as reverb, compression, and EQ, along with a full hardware-based digital mixer, plus SMPTE timecode support, an onboard instrument tuner, included analysis tools and oscilloscope, MOTU AudioDesk software to get you recording, and much more!
We can’t wait to get our hands on this one — it looks like MOTU has really hit the ball out of the park this time.
