Mesa/Boogie has unveiled one of their hardest rocking amps ever, the Triple Crown TC 50! A 50-watt, three-channel amp, the Triple Crown is designed to provide all the tonal firepower you need for any genre of rock and beyond. The first channel is the Clean channel, equipped with a second Drive mode for added crunch. Channel 2 is the “Lo Gain” channel, but don’t let the name fool you, this channel can provide all the gain you need for singing leads. For over-the-top mayhem, switch to the third, Hi Gain channel. This channel just might have the most gain on tap of any Boogie amp, yet it remains punchy, articulate, and open sounding — and it cleans up with the twist of your guitar’s volume knob.
Beyond all the tonal majesty the three channels provide, the Triple Crown is loaded with features: totally independent control over each channel, separate reverb level control for each channel, built-in Cab Clone emulator with three speaker cab types, footswitchable effects loop, footswitchable Solo volume control, full-on MIDI control, including 256 onboard presets…to say this amp is fully equipped to serve as the centerpiece for your rig is an understatement!
By the way, Triple Crown comes equipped with EL34 power tubes, but you can easily swap in 6L6s or even 6V6s (drops the amp to half power!) tubes without rebiasing, for more tonal versatility.
The Triple Crown is available in three formats: head, 1×12 combo, and rackmount head.
