A big shipment of Mackie’s SDR24/96 hard disk recorders recently arrived. We’ve been raving about the SDR24/96 since we first saw it in action at Winter NAMM, and we’re happy to say it more than fulfill the expectations set when we got our first glimpse. The SDR24/96 is a powerful, stand alone 24-track/24-bit hard disk recorder that offers practically all the advantages of Mackie’s MDR and HDR non-linear hard disk recorders at a lower price point.
Don’t forget to register for our April Web Prize Giveaway. We are giving away an Aardvark USB3 audio interface AND an Aardvark Q10 together valuing almost $1300.
Speaking of Aardvark, they have announced a new low latency driver for several of their audio cards being used under Windows XP and Windows 2000. The A|WDM driver is designed to integrate fully with Aardvark’s powerful DSP technology, allowing audio data to be transferred directly from the Aardvark audio card to the WDM, ASIO or MME software application. This represents a landmark improvement over standard WDM drivers, as it allows the low-latency performance to be available to traditional MME software applications as well to ASIO and WDM applications.
