At the upcoming AES show (October 18 – October 20, 2013 at the Javitz center in New York) Lynx will announce the LT-TB Thunderbolt Interface for Aurora and Hilo converters. Lynx will be demonstrating the interface with six Aurora interfaces connected to a single Thunderbolt port. The LT-TB Thunderbolt Interface is certified for both Mac and Windows operating systems.
According to Lynx, the LT-TB Thunderbolt interface supports up to 96 channels of analog I/O plus 96 channels of digital I/O per Thunderbolt bus. This will allow the upcoming Mac Pro, with its six Thunderbolt ports, to theoretically support up to 1,152 channels of digital and analog I/O.
