Ableton has announced Live 6 LE, a new sibling for the company’s amazing music-making flagship, Live 6. Live 6 LE contains all the fundamentals from Live 6, but has a few limitations, such as 12 simultaneous built-in effects, eight simultaneous built-in instruments, and two AU/VST effects per project. Live 6 LE comes in at just $199, and can be upgraded to the full Live 6 version.

Speaking of Live, the software has been updated to v6.0.9. The new version is free for registered owners, has numerous small improvements and fixes.
