Transfer of audio and time code from the video edit master to an audio tape. In the old days of doing everything on tape, this was usually the first step in sending a project out for audio sweetening, post production, or musical scoring. It’s important for the audio tape to have its time code resolved exactly to the video so that when it comes time for layback there is no drift or loss of sync over time.
