The makers of the BeOS, an operating system oriented towards working with creative content, and popular among some who create such content, has made a version of their system available as a free download for Windows users to try out. The personal edition of BeOS 5 can be downloaded and launched as an application from within Windows. The pro edition will be able to work on Intel and Power PC based machines.
