Korg has announced the release of its Legacy Collection – Digital Edition version 1.3, containing M1 v1.6.0. What’s cool about this particular release is that it now encompasses all of the sounds from the entire T-Series expansion cards. The latest additions are TSD-06 through TSD-10, so the total number of original T-series sounds added comes to 100 Programs, 104 Combinations, and 107 PCM waveforms! What’s more, Wavestation v1.6.3 and MDE-X v1.2.6 have not only been upgraded to fix a few small bugs, they also support Windows Vista (32-bit)! Also, in response to many users’ requests, the M1 v1.6 has also added some cool enhancements:
- Panning (CC#10) and expression (CC#11) can be controlled via MIDI control change messages.
- New Insert and Master effects functions have been added to the Global page. While in Combi, Multi, and Program modes, you can collectively switch all of the insert effects and/or all of the master effects on or off.
- An additional value of +12dB has been added to the OUTPUT GAIN parameter on the Global page.
