Rocco Prestia, the legendary bass guitarist for the soul and funk band, Tower of Power, is well known as the originator of the Fingerstyle Funk method of bass playing. Recently, Rocco has been absent from the Tower of Power line up. Rocco Prestia is suffering from Hepatitis C and excessive ammonia build-up, and these complications have further caused him to develop diabetes. He will not survive without a liver transplant. Tower of Power fans have organized a fund raising campaign to assist Rocco and to make it possible for him to return to a healthy life back on stage where his music can heal the rest of us.
