Korg just dropped off the Triton LE, a “break-it-down-to-the-basics”/more affordable version of their mighty Triton synthesizer keyboard workstation. Of course, the “basics” of the Triton – easily one of the world’s most powerful synths – are nothing to sneeze at, and the Triton LE is certainly no diet edition. Many of the features and functions of the original Triton are here, like world-class sounds, a powerful 16-track sequencer, dual arpeggiators, and a 4-part effects section for studio-quality sound. For any of you who have been itching to get your hands on a Triton but have found the price prohibitive, your time has come. The Triton LE comes in 76-key and 61-key versions.
Using some of the modeling technology found in their Tassman soft synth, Applied Acoustics has created the EP-1 Lounge Lizard electric piano for Mac and Windows, supporting multiple plug-in formats.
