Korg has updated the operating system of its flagship KRONOS series of workstations to version 3.0.4. In addition to various bug fixes, the new update includes:
- EXs Expansion Sample Series numbers greater than EXs124 are now supported. Note that when installing EXs libraries numbered 125 or higher, System Version 3.0.4 or later is required.
- Using the “Level Meters Off” setting now provides a greater improvement to polyphony. (This parameter, found on the Global mode — Basic Setup page, disables the level meters for Oscillators, Timbres, Tracks, effects, etc.)
- When using commands such as “Remap MS/Sample Banks,” the progress-bar window might have become fuzzy. This has now been fixed.
- When playing a Mono Legato program with Portamento On/Off, note-ons might have generated no sound or incorrect pitches. This has now been fixed.
- The numeric keypad may now be used to edit the OSC1/2 “Initial Phase” parameter.
- In the “Put Pattern to MIDI Track,” “Copy Pattern to MIDI Track,” and “Load Template Song” dialogs, the selected Pattern can now be played by using the front-panel SEQUENCER [START/STOP] button.
- In rare cases, editing pattern assignments for keys on the “RPPR Setup” page might have caused an operational error. This has now been fixed.
The new update is a free download to all registered owners.
