Installing Ram Into Ensoniq ASR Samplers

Installing memory in a newer Ensoniq ASR sampler? Apparently there has been a slight change in the circuit board design of the units, and the manuals are now incorrect. The manual states that there is one jumper that needs to be set for various memory configurations (page 15). On new units, there are actually TWO jumpers that will need to be configured for various memory chips. Be sure to check with Ensoniq or an Authorized Service Center on the procedure for correctly setting these jumpers before installing any RAM chips yourself!
