A guitar playing technique that uses both a pick and one or more fingers to pluck the strings simultaneously or in succession. Hybrid picking allows guitar players who use a pick to play riffs and parts which would normally require fingerstyle playing. It also facilitates plucking wide string leaps (for example from the sixth string to the second string) that might otherwise be quite difficult or impossible with a pick.
