In celebration of our greatly expanded retail store, which now features Yamaha acoustic pianos, Disklaviers, and Clavinovas, renowned pianist Mike Garson (David Bowie) performed an incredible Gershwin medley.
But what made this even more amazing (besides Mike’s stellar playing) was that he was actually performing in Yamaha’s corporate offices in Los Angeles, while we heard his live performance coming from an acoustic piano in our showroom! What made this possible was that Mike was playing a Yamaha Disklavier in L.A., the signal was sent over the Internet in real-time, then it was played on a Disklavier here, which exactly mirrored his every move and nuance.
