Did you know that with Guitar Rig 2’s tape deck component, you don’t need to use a separate CD player to learn songs or fast, complicated riffs? With this built-in software “tape deck” you can load and play back MP3, WAV, and AIFF files. Just drag and drop a song file onto the tape deck for playback, and start jamming with your favorite tune. You can either route the tape deck output through Guitar Rig’s amp/effects or send it straight to the output so you can play along.
Files can be played back at slower or faster tempos (50% slower or faster) while maintaining the same pitch so you can slow down a fast solo to hear the notes. Also, pitch can be raised or lowered by up to an octave. This is particularly useful for learning bass parts, especially when they’re played on a synth an octave lower than they would sound on a bass guitar. You can also use the tape deck to loop a certain section of a song, such as a solo, so you can practice the hard parts.
