Gretsch White Falcon

Often just called the “White Falcon,” this is arguably the most iconic Gretsch guitar, at least in rock and roll music. Introduced in 1954, the guitar is easily identifiable by its wide (17-inch) body, gold-sparkle binding, gold-plated hardware, ebony fingerboard, and dual pickup configuration. The White Falcon was instantly popular upon its release, and then experienced a resurgence in the 1980s when New Wave guitarists from bands such as Bow Wow Wow, The Cult, and Depeche Mode used White Falcons. Gretsch has released numerous variants and signature models of the Falcon over the years.
