Glyph treats us to a massive 80GB FireWire version of their X-Project. It has been given the official seal of approval by Digidesign for use with their Digi 001. Of course, the FireWire X-Project’s hot-pluggable dynamic reconfiguration means that you can re-cable your peripheral devices without re-booting – very convenient.
Mackie Designs is adding the Pultec EQP-1A Program Equalizer to the UAD-1 Powered Plug-Ins family. Version 2.2.2 of the UAD-1, which includes the Pultec EQ, is available as a free update from the Mackie and Universal Audio websites.
Today we are putting the 1200th defined word into our WFTD archives. That’s a pretty astounding number of terms when you consider most of them are pretty germane to our industry. It’s no wonder novices have such a hard time grasping all the concepts at first. If someone decided to tackle one term every day it would still take over three years to get through it, and doesn’t account for the words we’d still be adding. Daunting to say the least. If anyone out there has any terms they’d like to see defined just let us know and we’ll jump on it.
