Gig Bag

A soft, padded carrying case for a guitar, bass, or other instrument. Gig bags do not provide as much protection as a rigid “hard shell” case, but gig bags are generally substantially lighter, less cumbersome, and usually less expensive than hard cases. Most gig bags include one or more external pockets for storing accessories and sheet music. Handles at various locations and shoulder straps make gig bags easy to manage and transport.
