Funk Brothers Drummer Passes

Uriel Jones, drummer for classic Motown artists including the Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Jimmy Ruffin, and many others passed away on March 24. Jones was the last surviving drummer for the Funk Brothers, the session rhythm section/band used for many Motown productions, as well as a member of Gaye’s touring band. He was 74 years old.
