Focusrite has released a major update to their RedNet Control software, RedNet Control 2, which provides remote control over the company’s range of RedNet hardware. The new RedNet Control 2 was developed largely in response to user feedback, comments, and requests, making it a practical update for RedNet Dante-based audio-over-IP systems.
Reminiscent of a web browser “tabbed” graphical interface, RedNet Control 2 can handle up to 600 devices, with improved device monitoring, metering, and control. Devices can be grouped logically on up to 50 tabs, with up to 12 devices per tab. Each operator can have their own view and layout, and preset views can be saved and recalled. Key commands allow shortcuts for fast navigation. Improved sample rate management allows easier system configuration on a per-tab basis, for systems spread over multiple rooms or locations. A DAW can also automatically change rate on the loading of a new session.
RedNet Control 2 contains a wide variety of additional features and updates, and is available as a free upgrade for all RedNet users.
