The Focusrite Red series mic preamp returns with the introduction of the new Red 1 500 series mic pre. Made in England, the Red 1 module is compatible with the popular “lunchbox” format 500 series chassis, and provides the sought-after response and tone of the original full-rack-sized Red mic preamps. Along with the classic Red topology, the Red 1 features the original Lundahl LL158 transformers, Grayhill gold-plated military-grade switches, and a backlit VU meter with switchable calibration. Other features include polarity invert, 48-volt phantom power, 66dB of gain, and extra wide 10Hz to 140kHz bandwidth.
