Q: I have a new Mac that only has FireWire 800 ports. What audio interfaces can I use with FireWire 800?

A: At this writing, the only interface we’re aware of with built-in FireWire 800 support is the RME Fireface 800. However, virtually any FireWire interface can be used with your Mac using a simple FireWire 800-to-400 adapter or cable.
