Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking a closer look at each and every one of the exciting GearFest ’08 events, so be sure to check inSync each day. We’ve also posted the Workshop Schedule online, and will be updating it regularly.
10:00 AM Performance Theater: Keynote Address by Bruce Swedien. What better way to kick off an event the magnitude of GearFest than by having a legendary, 5-time Grammy winner give your keynote address? Bruce Swedien has been the engineer behind the boards for such diverse artists as Michael Jackson, Count Basie, and Paul McCartney. Now Bruce is bringing along some of the original masters to play for attendees, and he’ll also be sharing the stories behind these classic sessions! You won’t want to miss this. The address will be given in the Performance Theater with overflow seating available in the adjacent Conference Hall.
Of course, this is just the kickoff event, and there will be plenty more for everyone to see and do. Gibson will let you get a taste of what it feels like to be a rock star when you board their Tour Bus, which is fully outfitted with an onboard, full-featured, multitrack studio!
