Eventide PitchFactor Presets

Q: I have an Eventide PitchFactor pedal, and I love it. The problem is, I don’t need 100 presets, and I end up doing a bunch of scrolling. Can you help?

A: Congrats on the PitchFactor, it’s a great pedal. Eventide included a very cool feature that will help you — the same feature is in the ModFactor and TimeFactor. You can actually select the range of presets/banks you want to have active. It takes a few steps to make it happen, but it’s not difficult:

  1. Enter System Mode by pressing and holding the Encoder and right footswitch simultaneously for a few seconds.
  2. Turn the Encoder to “Utility,” the press the Encoder for a moment to select Utility.
  3. Turn the Encoder to “Banks,” then press the Encoder for a moment to select Banks.
  4. Press the left footswitch and turn the encoder to set the lower bank limit.
  5. Press the right footswitch and turn the encoder to set the upper bank limit.

When you’re done, exit System Mode by pressing and holding the Encoder and right footswitch simultaneously for a few seconds.

Using this approach, you could make banks 5-10 the only banks that are active, allowing you to group your presets or to set up a bank or banks of presets for a specific song or set.
