Dolby TrueHD

One of the successors to Dolby’s AC-3, Dolby TrueHD is a lossless multi-channel audio codec used by blu-ray discs. It can carry up to eight channels of 24-bit, 96kHz audio or six channels of 24-bit, 192kHz audio. It can also downmix a surround soundtrack to stereo when surround playback isn’t available.
