“I can’t get any signal out of the S/PDIF out on my 828 in Logic? What am I missing?”
When the 828 driver is setup in Logic, it defaults to a NO-digital inputs or outputs set up. You need to enable the I/O using the 828 control panel software. Here’s the procedure:
1) Launch the 828 control panel
2) At the bottom there are 2 options. Choose TOSlink for Optical ins and Outs
3) Hit O.K.
4) Launch Logic
5) Go to your mixer page in Logic
6) For each of your audio tracks that you want to go to the digital out choose OUTPUT 9-10, which will send that track to the digital outs.
That’s all there is to it.
