Cross-Fret Barre

A barre chord formation in which the barre finger covers notes on two different frets. For example, the barre finger might be slanted to catch notes on both the second and third frets. In classical music, this is also known as a “diagonal barre.” Cross-fret barre is considered a very advanced technique, and is generally only used in classical and jazz guitar styles.
