Sweetwater has teamed with our friends at Emerson Custom to create a limited-edition Concord buffer pedal in a very cool matte black finish. When do you need a buffer? Most pedalboards can benefit from a super-clean, high-headroom buffer at the beginning of the chain and, if there’s a long cable run after the pedals, at the end of the pedalboard signal path. The Concord can run at 9 volts or for maximum headroom 18 volts. Its job is to “condition” your guitar’s signal so that it survives the sometimes hostile environment of a pedal chain intact — it’s designed to restore tone that has been lost due to line resistance, impedance issues, or pedal circuits (like old vintage fuzzes or wah pedals).
