A type of speaker cabinet where the speaker drivers are sealed into the enclosure – there is a solid or sealed back to the cabinet. The sound from the speakers can emerge only from the front of the cabinet. This focuses dispersion. Closed-back cabinets typically have more low-end “thump” and tighter bass than open-back cabinets.
